Welcome to my world of creativity and innovation.
In today's fast-paced world...
Creativity has become a key differentiator in staying relevant and thriving in the face of automation and emerging industries.
I understand the challenges you face—how many times have you been told to “just be creative” without any clear guidance on how to achieve it? The lack of language and tools to harness creativity can be intimidating. Creativity is one of the primary skills needed to stay relevant in the economic realities of automation and the emergence of new industries.
At Colors Make Shapes...
I believe that creativity is not an elusive gift reserved for a select few; it's a learnable skill that anyone can master.
Society has collectively agreed that creativity is something that you either have or you don’t. Black and white outcome-based learning became the norm in US schools with No Child Left Behind in 2001, and young adults who learned in those contexts are now entering the workforce without skills needed to synthesize information and make something new. More and more, creativity is the skill that employers value the most when hiring, yet many find it increasingly difficult to find and hire new team members with these capabilities.
Through years of intensive research and study, I’ve developed a unique system for teaching creative thinking skills based on the Root-Bernstein framework of creative thinking tools. By breaking down creativity into discrete skills, creativity loses its intimidating reputation and becomes more accessible and concrete.
“Dre always had the capability to push us to create something even better than we could have imagined, partly because of the energy she maintained during the long sessions, and partly because her personable personality made sessions very enjoyable.”
